It's that time of the year again! S.A.L.T. is happy to turn 7 this year! Like all years, it's a cause for celebration! I'm sure all of us ever turned 7 years old as well, and made our way (willingly or unwillingly) to Primary 1, when it marked the beginning of a new chapter in our lives! Come this Saturday, 20 Nov 2010, S.A.L.T. will be officially celebrating our step forward in our ministry! We welcome you to celebrate with us!

Things you must know:

Time - 7.30pm to 10.00pm (just like for school, be punctual!)
Venue - St. Anne's Hall, Church
Attire - School Uniform/Attire (compulsory! if not, it's detention for you!)

Hi folks! The S.A.Y.C. presents the first ever S.A.Y. : It's for Christ! Youth Camp 2010 with the theme "Created for Love"! It will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of Dec 2010 (Fri to Sun) at the St. Francis Xavier Major Seminary in Punggol! It is a great opportunity to set aside quality time for God and with fellow youths from our very own parish! If you're between the ages of 15 to 25 (and especially if you are a confirmand this year or currently serving in a ministry), this is camp will be a great avenue for you to gain further spiritual input and rejuvenation (:

And who says old school Catholics are a bunch of boring folks? We're here to show you why and how you should be proud of being a Catholic. A Catholic Short Play Festival

Walk on Water Productions is pleased to announce that we will be organizing the inaugural Catholic Short Play Festival 10:10, this year. 20 ten-minute plays based on our Christian faith would be staged on 14 and 15 August 2010 at Raffles Hotel, Jubilee Hall. Part of the proceeds would go to Caritas Singapore Community Council. WOW Production is a Catholic theater ensemble dedicated to evangelizing the Word of God through the Art of Theatre.

If you are interested with this project but not sure how you can be involved, just contact WOW & tell them what you are interested to do.
If you have a team & want to submit your own play/musical, we want you.
If you are a team with no script, just register your team & ask for a script.
If you like to write, but don't have any team to stage your play/musical, you can also submit your play script.
If you have experience in directing plays, there may be a team out there that needs a director.

Br. Alphonsus (a.k.a. Brother A) will be leading the first of the next series of sessions. The session is entitled "The Interior of Good vs. Evil" and Br. A will be speaking about 'suicide' - How does the Catholic Church view it? Why has it become such a severe problem especially among the youths of today? What is the aftermath of ending one's life? How do you detect suicidal tendencies in your friend and help that friend? The topic for this session seems really far off, but in truth, all of us are aware of the term 'suicide'. We see it on the news and on TV, we hear about it in schools and some of us may have even thought about it. This will be Br. A's last session with S.A.L.T. before his attachment ends. Come and listen to what Br. A has to say and be amazed. Invite your friends along for this enlightening session. See you there.

Starting from 13 Mar 09 (Fri) evening to 15 Mar 09 (Sun) late afternoon/evening.
This (almost) 3-day retreat is gonna be totally awesome!
It's not just a great way to spend more quality time with each other but it's also gonna be a great spiritual rejuvenation for us all.
The working committee for this has been doing a fantastic job at putting this retreat together, so we all hope u'd just come as you are and join us for this beneficial retreat!

'Cause courtesy of God and the S.A.L.T. Facils, we have a great line-up of sessions and activities for 2009! It's more than just coming together. It's about coming together as a community, forging bonds in this community and spiritually growing together as a community in Christ.

That's the direction for all of us this year! So, wondering what's the AWESOME line-up for this year? Come for this not-to-be-missed SESSION!

Most of us already know who he is. Fr. Simon Pereira is a very engaging, animated and humorous speaker, and definitely a favourite among the Singapore Catholic youth population! Never been to a healing rally before? Here's really your chance! 'Cause if you ask those who went for any form of a healing session, they'd tell u it's awesome!

Most of us who already had our con camp would definitely agree
that it is one of the most significant moments in our
Catholic faith! Isn't it? We want con camp for this yr's batch
of confirmants to be as spiritually fulfilling and a spur
for them to commit themselves to St. Anne's, but most
importantly, to serving God and be closer to God.
Con camp is THAT important and so it deserves our prayers
for it to be blessed with success and God's inspiration.
And so the bottom line is... come join us!!!

Hello, remember the envelope which was given out 2 SALT sessions ago for the Room Revamp Fundraiser? Well, it would be great if you guys can pass it back to Jess, Kelynn or myself.

For those who weren't there that session, we're currently trying to raise funds for our Room Revamp.

We asked the teens to ask their parents for a donation, however they have to help their parents with something, such as taking out the trash, washing the dishes or bathing the dog. All the donations will go to our Room Revamp Funds!

If you haven't gotten the envelope it's alright, you can still take part in this.

Before I forget, the Serangoon District Shine Jesus Shine Youth Rally is on the 1st of March at St Vincent de Paul church, from 7:30pm to 10pm. Buses will be catered and so, do turn up for an enriching experience! Those interested, please leave a comment with your name! ASAP yea? :D
